There are 2 types of virtual classroom programs. The first is what we call a “Workshop”. Workshops are open conference line (everyone can talk freely) facilitated interactive discussions. Most are designed to be 3 hours long. The ideal size for these sessions is in the range of 10-20 participants. Too few, and the conversation is not dynamic enough. Too many, and not everyone gets a chance to participate.
The second virtual classroom program is what we call a “Seminar”. These are short talks on a specific topic, typically an hour long with approximately 30 minutes available for discussion and Q&A at the end (90 minutes total duration). Interaction is restricted in these programs, and therefore there is no limit to how many participants may be present – we’ve had hundreds present at these events in the past.
